"If you want to be successful, find somebody who's doing what you want to do. Pay them to teach you how, and work with them to make it happen." - Dan Henry.
I'm sure you've heard this phrase...
If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do.
Now, I agree with this in part, but I believe it can be misleading. If you plan to copy exactly what someone else is doing, you must have a solid understanding of where they are in their business. Just because something is working well for them doesn't mean it will work well for you.
Absolutely look at those with the success you want to gain inspiration. Learn from their methods and their approach and make it your own. Trying to copy exactly what they're doing without any insight or context will almost always cause you problems in your business.
There are different strategies for every level of business. What is working for me today wouldn't have worked in the earlier stages of my business. I have had to learn and adjust as I've grown my company.
Let me share why you should never copy what someone else is doing, and what to do instead.
In this video, I'm going to cover:
- Why you must understand where you are at in your business before implementing someone else's tactics
- How copying exactly what someone else is doing can be a mistake
- What to do instead of copying someone else
