Do you believe you can be successful and smoke weed?
There is this huge misconception that people that smoke weed are lazy, and they will never amount to anything.
The image that comes to mind is usually something like Cheech and Chong, right?
I want to set the record straight for people who have an open mind, those who might be able to see this subject differently with a bit of an explanation.
Understand some people abuse weed, just as some abuse various other substances. Alcohol is legal, but we've all seen what can happen when you have a few too many drinks.
Are you open to a new perspective on marijuana?
Let me share why I smoke, and show you how it actually helps me to be more productive and creative in my business.
In this video, I'm going to cover:
- Why I decided to stop consuming alcohol and start smoking weed
- How smoking weed has helped me be more creative in my business
- Why it's essential to set rules for moderation when consuming any substance
How I make $5 million a year and smoke weed.
Hey everybody, Dan Henry here. And I don't generally smoke weed when I'm working or during the day, but I had to do it for this video. So I'm going to try to get through this. I want you to try to get through this with me. So how do I make $5 million a year and still smoke weed? When there is this huge view or a misconception that people that smoke weed are lazy and potheads will never amount to anything. How do I do it? By the way, just so we're clear. I actually make a lot more than $5 million a year, but with my investment strategies, and you know, all my tax stuff, I have to get my income down. I'm going to do a different video on my investment strategies and taxes and stuff like that, but that's not what we're talking about in today's video. We're talking about Mary Juana.
Comments. Do you smoke weed? Type it. All right. So I did a different video on how I became a millionaire by the time I was 30. You can watch that video if you want to learn how I make money, but what I'm gonna cover today is how do I make money while still smoking weed? How am I able to concentrate? How am I able to do what I do? And I wanted to make this video because a lot of people have this dim view or this, you know, stigma with marijuana. And I want to try to set the record straight for people out there who have an open mind and can maybe, you know, change their mind on this subject after you see this video.
So first and foremost, I don't smoke till 6:00 PM or later. I do not smoke during the day when I'm working because I have to concentrate on running my company, today excluded because I obviously just hit a huge bong rip.
So that's really, the first thing is I don't smoke when I work. That's a big thing, though I have smoked before I come up with amazing ideas that I've written down and then worked on the next day. The creative neuro-transmitters go crazy when you smoke weed. So it has given me some fantastic business ideas, but why do I do it? Why do I smoke marijuana?
First of all, I do have a medical card. This is legal weed, and it's legal here. I have a card. It's a prescription, and it's from a dispensary. So I don't get weed off the street because Lord knows what's in that cannabis. When you get it that way, there could be all kinds of weird stuff. And this is better because you can pick what strain you want from the dispensary, and you know what it does. So if you have anxiety, if you have trouble focusing, whatever it is, you can pick a strain that actually helps that specific thing. And not just some random weed you get from a drug dealer on the side of the road next to a subway.
But here's the reason why I smoke weed. The whole reason I started, I actually used to drink a lot. And sometimes I would drink a bottle a night because, you know, the pressure and the stress and the weight on my shoulders of running my company for the longest time was a lot. And I like to completely turn off at night and just chill, and that's why I drank. Now, thankfully I've learned how to run my company much more efficiently in recent years, and so that stress is nowhere near as much as it used to be. But the point is that I would drink every night to just sort of try to relax and turn my brain off from my company so that I could just enjoy not thinking about work, not thinking about my goals and dreams, because that's all I thought about all day.
And so, I decided to quit alcohol, and it was a great decision. I lost a lot of weight. I became more focused. My sleep got better, but I still wanted to be able to turn my brain off. And I had a lot of trouble. So I talked to a friend of mine and, you know, he gave me some really good advice. He says, "Listen, man, you should really go to a doctor and look into medical marijuana." Because at the time I was thinking about all kinds, I was thinking about pharmaceuticals, like, you know, Xanax and you know, all these different medications to help me sort of relax. And you know, my buddy's like, "Dude, don't get into that pharmaceutical stuff. Like that's nasty, smoke weed." And so I went, and I talked to a doctor, a weed doctor that basically prescribed me some weed.
And then I went and got it. And I began smoking. And, and let me just tell you, number one way better than alcohol, you don't feel like crap the next day. In fact, you feel fine in about an hour. And you know, from what I understand and all the evidence out there, you know, full disclaimer, I'm not a doctor, but you can't OD from it. You can definitely OD on alcohol, and it doesn't make you angry. This is just a much cleaner, more natural, you know, way to relax. And it helped me with my anxiety tremendously, with sleep. I don't smoke right before I go to bed because it raises my heart rate. And then your heart rate lowers later in the night, and you get worse sleep. So I did have to adjust some things, certain strains, certain times of day, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
And I'm really happy that I made the decision because I've never felt better. It gets my creative juices flowing. It allows me to enjoy food and TV, and all the things in life. You know, more, I mean, if you've never ever eaten food high, then you haven't eaten food. And it makes a lot of other things better as well. Now, do I condone smoking weed? Am I telling 12-year-olds to run out and start chiefing it up? No. I condone free thought. I condone learning to think for yourself and not just doing or not doing something because your parents or the TV or CNN, or, you know, whoever told you not to do it. To do your own research, do your own due diligence and make that decision for yourself. And that is what I condone is, you know, thinking for yourself.
But I will tell you that when I thought for myself, I concluded to quit drinking or at least limit drinking to special occasions. And for the most part, smoke the ganj. And when I follow certain rules, it does not affect my ability to make money. In fact, it helps my ability, and here are a few ways it does that.
Number one, as I said before, I don't smoke late, so it doesn't affect my sleep. Number two, it allows me to relax and get time off from my brain being smart. So that the next day I can be a lot smarter when my brains had rest from being smart. Number three, Hold on. I'm so high right now. Number three, I make sure to pick and experiment with the right strains, to not increase my anxiety, to not make me feel weird, to not make me feel sad. What have you. So I do, you know, find my strains, and I stick to those strains, and it really helps my anxiety 'cause I have been a long time suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. It helps that, and when I'm not anxious and when I do not have panic attacks, it allows me to be able to focus on my company more 'cause I'm not thinking about that horrifying panic attack I had the night before and how embarrassing it was. And I'm sure there's a number four, but I'm just going to say because brownies, protein brownies, but brownies.
Anyway, the point is that as long as you don't abuse it and you really set rules for yourself, you set boundaries, and like anything, you don't abuse it. It's not going to affect what you do for a living. And in my case, it can help. However, I don't condone abusing marijuana. I don't think you should abuse marijuana. I don't think you should abuse anything, everything in moderation and everything with a set of boundaries and rules for yourself. And you know, to me having discipline, and I'm just going to go out there. I'm just going to say this. I know I'm gonna get a lot of heat for this, but a lot of people say that you having discipline means you don't drink. You don't smoke, da, da, da, discipline, discipline. But to me, discipline is being able to do those things without abusing them because anybody can just not ever smoke or not ever drink, right? I mean, that's something that people can not do. And if you have the ability to consume stuff like that a little bit, and in moderation, to me, that's true discipline because now you don't have to completely avoid it to stop it. Or, you know, just not even think about it out of sight, out of mind. You can enjoy it, but in moderation, that to me is true discipline.
Now I want to put a special disclaimer here. If you have an abuse problem, if you have a substance abuse problem in the past, then don't listen to anything I just said. 'Cause, it would be terrible advice if you're an alcoholic and you're recovering, you should definitely avoid and abstain from alcohol 100% and follow your program or your health care providers' suggestions as I am not a healthcare provider. But if that hasn't happened yet, if you're not in AA, you don't have any issues like that. And you're just, you know, having a beer here and there or smoking some weed here and there, to me, discipline is, you know, being able to enjoy it in moderation, not abuse it. And to me that that's a bit more challenging than never smoking weed ever or never drinking ever because you never have and you never will. And I'm just talking nonsense at this point.
