What are three core lifestyle changes that promote MASSIVE productivity?
Productivity is a very important part of building a successful company. Without high-level productivity, it's unlikely that you are going to grow to a 6- or 7-figure company!
In this training, I am going to breakdown three lifestyle changes that you can make to help promote your daily productivity!
In this video, I am going to cover:
- How changes in your diet will promote a healthy body and mind, which will allow you to unlock high potential for yourself
- Why your activity level is crucial to your success as an entrepreneur
- AND... how to choose your closest circle of people and associations and keep your sites set high!
What are three lifestyle changes that promote massive productivity? Well, that's what we're going to be talking about in today's video. And as well, if you like videos like this, be sure to subscribe to the channel as I release new ones every week.
Hey everybody, Dan Henry here, author of the wall street journal, a bestselling book, digital millionaire secrets, and founder of getclients.com. And today I'm going to be talking about three core lifestyle changes that will help promote massive productivity. By the way, let me know in the comments how productive do you think you are? Let me know between a scale of one to 10 where you think you are on the productivity scale. So productivity is a very, very important part to building a successful company. There's a very, very slim chance that you're going to build a seven or eight figure company. If you're not productive right now, I did another video on how to be productive through, you know, like habits and through like techniques and methods and things like that. And you can check that out, but this video is going to talk about actual lifestyle changes.
So this is sort of like the bed, you know, instead of putting a bandaid over it, let's fix the actual problem. And that comes through the actual core lifestyle change. So that's what I'm going to cover right now. So the first lifestyle change for productivity is your diet. Now you might say, well, Dan diet, I mean, I get a diet for losing weight, but productivity. Yes, absolutely. Yes. I remember I attended a mastermind where pretty much everybody in the room was an eight-figure earner or at least high seven figures. And you would think that at this mastermind, we were talking about marketing, hiring, firing operations, and we did, but we had a three hour conversation about sleep and a two hour conversation about diet. And it's amazing that you would have think about this. If you had a bunch of people in there that were working a nine to five, or they were making, you know, 50 or a hundred grand a year and they were all talking and I've been to these masterminds before, cause I've been invited to speak at them.
And I will tell you, the conversations that happen at these masterminds are all about marketing and funnels and ads and you know, ways to make money and all this, but at the higher level masterminds, we don't talk about that stuff. We talk about the things that actually matter, because see, you can't run great advertising promotions for your company, or come up with new product ideas or manage your team properly. If you don't have the ability to execute on those things. And that starts with your lifestyle changes. So the first one is diet. Now here's one thing I can suggest for diet. I like to know what I'm putting in my body, how much of it I'm putting in my body each and every day. So personally, I like to weigh my food. I count my calories. It doesn't take that much extra time. The only reason you think or you feel like it's taking extra time to do that is because you're telling yourself it's taking extra time.
Believe it or not. It actually takes me less time when I create my food in bulk and I put it in containers and I know exactly how many, how much food and how many calories. And then we just hit, I just heated it up and for the rest of the week, I'm good. It actually ends up taking less time. And so that allows me to lose weight and to, to maintain a, a good, you know, a good body for not just looking good. Cause if you look good, you feel good and you're not spending all day, you know? Oh, I wish I w I wish I was in bed. Yeah. And the not focused on your work, but it makes you feel better. And when you feel better, you can work better. And so here's some of the diet changes I made. I stopped for the most part, eating dairy because I read multiple articles and found out that dairy can cloud your mental judgment.
I try not to eat foods that give me an upset stomach. Like for instance, every once in a while I will have Chipola, which has cheese on it. And whenever I do, I always feel terrible the next day. As well as I do with alcohol, right? So if you think about it, if you eat really spicy foods, if you drink alcohol, if you eat things that are going to mess you up per se, then the next day, you're going to spend more time on the toilet than you are at your computer. And that's not good. Okay. Plus, you're not going to feel good. You're not going to have a general sense of wellness. So I try to stay away from party foods. I try to stay away from things that are going to make my stomach upset that are going to make me feel bad the next day, or be hung over.
That's not to say that I never do it, that I never drink alcohol, but when I do, I try to do it on say a Friday night. So I have two days to fully recover before Monday. So getting your diet in, check, eating, clean, eating, you know meets from a local local butcher shops, or I like to use butcher box, which is a an awesome service that delivers meat to you. I like to get organic farmer's markets food for vegetables, and I get tons of greens in my diet. So I just feel really good. Cause I have all that vitamin a and vitamin C and vitamin B. And I just feel real good. And if you feel good, you work good. So that's the first thing, is diet. The second thing is going to be your wellness when it comes to activity and working out; if you're not actively working out in some form or another, it's very difficult to take you seriously as an entrepreneur.
Because every entrepreneur I takes the time to make sure their body is in good shape so that their mind and their brain and their hands can do the work they need to do. And so with activity, even if you're not going to lift weights or do some crazy CrossFit stuff, not saying you have to do that, but I like to get at least 10,000 steps in per day. If you're getting 10,000 steps in per day, you're staying active. That's going to, again, going to make you feel better. It's going to make you work better. You guys, you can't have a car that runs well, if you don't keep, you know, the transmission fluid change, the oil change, you just can't right. It's not going to run good. And so if you're not eating right, you're not working out. Your engine is not gonna run good.
And it's not going to be able to produce what you want it to produce. It's not about planning and tasks and all this. It's about actually having a engine that runs well. And so getting 10,000 steps in a day, and I use an aura ring to track that, and I can see how many steps I take on my, on my phone app and my activity levels. If I don't get 10,000 steps in, in a day, I walk outside and I walk until I do. And I feel so much better doing that. Plus I lift weights three times a week, but I don't go nuts on it where I'm lifting weights six days a week and I'm sore all day. And I'm focused more on being sore than I am on, on building my company. So that right there is the second thing. Now, the third thing is people, the people you associate with the people you hang out with, I hate to say this because it's not going to be a popular thing.
But if you hang out with losers, you're going to be a loser. If you hang out with winners, you're going to be a winner period. If you think that you can hang out with a group of people that are all staying up late, eating like crap, drinking, not trying to further their goals in life, staying up till two, 3:00 AM. And just generally not being a person that has their sights set higher than it's going to be very difficult for you to adopt any sort of lifestyle changes or any sort of, of anything that is in direct contradiction to the people that you hang out with the most. They always say, you are your friends. And that's true. If you upgrade and you start hanging out with people that do have ambition, you don't have to dump your friends. Cause they're poor. That's not what I'm saying.
You have to dump your friends that have a poor mindset. It doesn't matter how much money they make. It matters where they want to go. It matters where their mind's at. It matters where their ambition is at. And people with ambition and people with goals, generally, don't stay up till 3:00 AM drinking and eating pizza every night. If you really think it. Okay. So the thing is, is you want to upgrade your friends. And what I had to do is I had to say to my friends, I had to say, listen, I'm focused on things. I can't go to that party. I can't stay up all night and drink with you. I can't do that. I didn't actually have to get rid of my friends. I just had to change my answer from always yes to usually always no. When they asked me to do something that was out of alignment with my goals.
And then what happens is one of two things, either your friends see what you're doing. They see your progression, they see it and they become inspired and they start asking you about it. And potentially they start cleaning up their act as well. Or they say, well, this guy is no fun anymore. We're not going to stop asking him to hang out. So you don't actually have to dump your friends. They'll dump you or you'll elevate your friends. So the thing is, is that if they're truly your friends, they won't make you feel bad about not staying out late. You know, not drinking all day, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And so you have three things that happen here. You either elevate your friends, they disconnect from you, or you find out who your true friends are. And so you want to start hanging out with people that have ambition that have drive and things like that.
And that's another reason why in our coaching program, we offer a community because let's just say that you don't have any friends that are, you know, trying to make a million-dollar business or create it, create a better life for themselves. Well, then you can come hang out with ours. You can make new friends and you can hang out with them and they'll elevate you and they'll keep you accountable. And they'll, you know, you start hanging out with them and they'll bring you to that next elevation in life because they all have ambition. They all have drive. And so that right there is a reason why you need to have a good network of friends. Because if your friends are not productive, you won't be productive. If they are productive, you'll be productive. Now, one thing that I,
I was going to mention, but didn't.Yeah, which I guess you could say as a fourth or bonus is sleep. I always talk about sleep. It's very important to get enough sleep and track your sleep. And I do so with an ordering. But if you have a good diet and if you get your 10,000 steps in a day and you work out, and if you have friends that are productive and don't drag you down, the chances of you getting sleep good sleep are a lot higher. So as a bonus, a fourth bonus, make sure to track your sleep. And don't just say, Oh, I feel like I got a good night's sleep. If that's very difficult to do, you're not a computer. Okay. I like to track it. I like to know. And so if I didn't get good sleep for two nights, I go, you know what? I need to go to bed two hours early this night so I can bounce about gout.
And I constantly monitor that so that I keep myself in a state of high, high efficiency, for instance, Hey, I'm recording 20 YouTube videos. So I don't have to do it for a while. No way I could do that to this today. If I didn't have a good sleep, I didn't have a good diet. And if I had a bunch of friends, right, that were encouraging me to stay up all night and drink. So that right there is three, I style changes for better productivity. And if you enjoyed this video, be sure to subscribe as I release new videos each and every week.
